Cairnmoor Subsea Ltd inspects offshore pipelines and cable routes for a handful of North Sea operators. Six months ago they filed an insurance claim after a cable fault near one of their routes. The underwriter, Polaris Underwriters, paid out, then started noticing the inspection report backing the claim didn’t line up with the ROV footage timestamps. Cairnmoor won’t grant system access to the insurer’s auditors, and legal doesn’t have enough to force it.

Polaris has hired HackerForce to get the real inspection record for job KP-114.2 and confirm who actually signed off on it. The lead came in as a forwarded email with two names redacted - badly. That’s the way in.
